Marrakech: and a rendez-vous with a stork in the El Badi palace...

Having been to Marrakech several times with my husband, family and friends I would say that I have seen most of what there is to see regarding the sights... just the El Badi palace was still missing.
Off we went on a terrible hot august sunday afternoon to discover hat we hadn't seen so far... but it was just too hot that I could properly concentrate on the palace and its history.... until.... I saw a stork... not a flying one far away, but one directly in front of me. I had never seen one so close. And he was not moving away from us...

Marrakech: and could you imagine a more beautiful still life?

Fresh fruits and vegetables are sold everywhere in Morocco... in the countryside, along streets and also in the small lanes directly in the medina.
And because you see those fruit stands all the time, you don't pay attention any longer... what a mistake. Observing this photo now back in Casa, I am wondering if I have ever seen a nicer still life before...

Essaouira: come with me to discover all the beautiful details...

This is actually what I love most about Essaouira: the city is too small that you can really get lost inside the old city walls... and I tell you, it's tempting to forget time and just to stroll down the narrow lanes...

Essaouira: and strolling through the harbour...

Essaouira is one of my favourite moroccan cities. Situated directly at the coast the climate is very enjoyable even in summer, the atmosphere is nicely relaxed and you can eat brilliant fresh sea food. Once you are visiting Essaouira you definitely shouldn't miss the harbour. Take a look yourself:
