When driving to the Derb Ghalef Market or the marché du liberté in Casablanca to buy some fabrics, you come along some Art Deco houses which must have looked beautiful some ages ago... Nowadays, they are dirty, shabby ... bits and pieces are missing ... the money to restore the buildings is simply not there.
And still, something majestic about these houses has remained and you stop and take your time to look at them:
